From tire recycling to liquid waste - we turn waste into resources. Our Winnipeg Facility is currently searching for Mechanics to join our team of Maintenance Experts. The Heavy Duty Mechanic/Truck & Transport Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing and performing repairs on all facility vehicles in a safe and timely manner. This position reports to the Fleet Maintenance Manager. Position Description: - Diagnose and complete all repairs safely and within company policy and manufacturer specifications - Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and electrical systems - Test repaired equipment for proper performance - Maintain proper maintenance reports and/or work orders - Communicate regularly with managers regarding repair status and concerns - Work as part of a team to support the daily needs of the operation - Provide guidance and instruction to apprentice maintenance personnel - Suggest positive changes to processes or procedures to enhance operational efficiency - Perform other duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications: - Must have Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification and/or Truck and Transport Mechanic Certification - Minimum 3 years of related experience in our industry or similar industry - Demonstrated experience with hydraulic and electrical systems - Strong troubleshooting skills - Must possess excellent command of the English language - Basic proficiency with use of computers - Ability to work irregular shifts, including evenings, midnights, holidays and overtime as required - Asset: Experience with natural gas fleets - Asset: Previous work experience in working with online preventative maintenance programs - Asset: valid Class 3 driver's licence with air brake endorsement - Asset: Red Seal Journeyman Certification Rate of Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience, skills & qualifications
