Chief Financial Officer, Remuneration will be aligned to the company remuneration policy, Five years contract position, reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

Purpose: Strategic direction of the financial and other support functions ensuring that appropriate support is provided to the organization through smooth information flow, allocation of resources and expert advice.

Main Duties: Strategic Management, Participate in development and execution of the organization’s Strategy. Assists CEO in the process of  developing,  management and amendment of functional strategic plans to support corporate strategy. Prioritize financial resources and activities to influence sound decision-making. Governance. Ensure that policies and guidelines are in place to meet regulatory requirements and adherence there to. Ensure effective compliance and risk management. Facilitate the execution of internal and external audit. Financial Management and Statutory Reporting.

Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization’s including: organizational revenue/expense, budgetary control, balance sheet reports and  reports to the respective stakeholders. Managing the financial risks of the organization by developing and maintaining systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization. Ensure proper management of cash resources, and capital spending. Assist the CEO in developing new business and funding opportunities. Together with the CEO direct and manages the compliance function to ensure adherence with all statutory and regulatory requirements. Ensure monitoring and reporting of financial performance of the organization in terms of Quarterly and Annual Performance monitoring lead staff on the Audit/Finance Committee. Performance Management. Management of functional unit. Manages performance of all direct reports. Ensures human resources policies are adhered to Educational & Experience Requirements, Finance related post graduate degree, preferable a Master’s Degree / CA / MBA, 12 years relevant experience, Further Requirements,

Proven experience on the following is essential: Coordination of the strategic planning and Financial Management, Audit and Risk Management, Knowledge of the relevant legislative frameworks of Public Entities, such as PFMA and National Treasury Regulations, Knowledge of the Public Sector, preferably in the Performing Arts, Theatre and related fields, Behavioral competencies, Analytic thinking, Building Relationships, Adaptability, Business acumen, Client centeredness, Judgment, Posted By Cosmopolitan Recruitment, Start Date As soon as possible, Salary Negotiable from R900k, Location Cape Town
