Network Architecture and Engineering Lead, Alcatel, Timos, Cbd, Sydney, NSW 2000, Non Government, Senior role, Enterprise level environment, Sydney CBD, Our Client seeks a Network Architecture and Engineering Services Lead to ensure solutions are designed and implemented in line with company telecommunications strategy and to provide technical leadership to the Telecommunications Engineering team.

Having specialist experience and knowledge in Security, Network Design and Network Infrastructure, the role will be responsible for design, testing and implementation of plans and projects within their area of expertise. You will also mentor, develop and execute training for network engineers.

Reporting to the Manager of Telecommunications Engineering, you will provide knowledge transfer and assistance to Network Operations engineers and Solution Architects as well as managing the relationship with team members, internal business units and external partners and suppliers.

Successful candidates will have: 5+ years commercial experience as a Network Architect and/or Network Operations Team Lead within a large enterprise environment. Candidates must have a strong understanding of Network Operations and Network Security as well as proven solution architecture and network design experience. A broad understanding of network techologies across a wide range of vendor suppliers - Extensive experience with Alcatel-Lucent technologies is essential for this role. Candidates must also have exposure to Aruba wireless, F5 GTM/LTM, Cisco and Juniper. Experience with Unix/Linux and EMC Service Assurance platform is highly desirable.

Sound knowledge of network protocols, architecture principles, security principles, infrastructre deployment and industry best practices. Excellent leadership and negotiation skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and impart knowledge to others. The ability to provide Vendor RFI/RFP, platform and architecture designs, solution designs, POC and type approval testing and configuration scripting. Ability to work in a team-orientated, collaborative environment with other senior and experienced engineers and architects. Degree qualified in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject. Industry Certifications are highly regarded.
