The Office Manager and Constituent Liaison will ensure the efficient and effective running of the senator’s electorate office and be the main point of contact for the public. The Office Manager manages the senator’s diary and correspondence, oversees and reports on the office budgets and provides human resources administration for the office.

Selection Criteria: Experience in office administration including relevant qualifications and/or experience in a client service environment. Demonstrated excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organisational and time management skills and attention to detail. Sound financial management and book-keeping skills. Excellent computer skills in word processing, database packages and internet and email programs, preferably Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook) and fast, accurate typing. Sound judgment and respect for confidentiality and discretion. Capacity to work effectively and amicably under pressure in a small team environment and ability to multi-task. Understanding of Australian Greens policies and values. The position is offered under the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 and conditions are outlined in the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2012-2015. A commencing salary between $54,693 - $64,532 will be paid.  A probationary period of 3 months will apply. A full position description is attached below.
