Skill Requirements:
Education: Some high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Forklift Operator Certification, WHMIS Certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Work Setting: Structural steel fabrication company
Type of Machine or Equipment Set Up or Operation: Computer - numerical control equipment, Soldering or welding equipment
Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Specific Skills: Read specifications or follow verbal instructions, Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines, Operate machines or equipment which weld, solder, bolt, screw or rivet metal parts together, Select and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist, Build staging or erect scaffolding for heavy metalworking jobs, Clean and lubricate equipment
Security and Safety: Bondable
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
