Regional Commercial HSE Manager

We are currently seeking a high caliber Regional Commercial HSE Manager position based in Calgary, AB.
Duties:
    Set a good example, demonstrate a positive safety attitude, and abiding by the Safety Code of Ethics
    Represent and work cooperatively with the division on HSE issues to external clients, government entities, and community organizations
    Utilize strong site management and communication skills, advising project management on the actions necessary to maintain an acceptable level of safety, ensuring regulatory compliance on the job site and abiding by the Safety Code of Ethics
    Accountable for accurate & timely reporting; analyze trends and initiate processes to address performance issues related to maintaining safe and healthy worksites
    Measure overall HSE performance within the division
    Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained
    Audit site safety performance and evaluate HSE MS implementation; recommending corrective actions as needed and follow up to ensure implementation
    Review and revise SOP’s and Standards to ensure consistency with HSE MS and compliance with site-specific regulatory requirements
    Assist in the development and/or review of Group Risk Assessments and development of Project Specific Safety Plans (PSSP)
Requirements:
    Post secondary education in a related field or equivalent combination of post secondary education, trade certification or training and work experience
    CRSP/CSP/CSO/NCSO/NEBOSH or equivalent is desired
    5 years minimum, practical health and safety experience in management role
    10 years construction industry field experience in HSE
    Experience supervising training and mentoring project safety coordinators
    Excellent communication and problem solving skills
