Job Description
Pending funding approval, the Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria is seeking an Assistant Arts Administrator to coordinate arts and cultural events in the Greater Victoria area.  The Assistant Arts Administrator will perform these duties during a 17 week period at 35 hours per week.  This position will be conducted in English.
This summer position is subject to funding approval from Young Canada Works.  Applicants must be a full-time student in the semester immediately preceeding May, returning to school full-time in the fall and be between 16 and 30 years old at the start of employment to apply.  Responsibilities:
    Coordinate and implement arts and cultural events
    Administrative support for CACGV events, acitivies and new projects
    Monitoring member databases and organizing archival information
    Develop CACGV promotional materials for partners, community organizations, funding organizations and businesses
    Client relations
Qualifications
    Post-secondary education in a related field
    Experience in an arts related environment
    Must be able to work in a PC office environment using MS office software
    Ability to work positively with limited supervision and in a team setting
    Excellent communications skilsl to maintain relationships with individuals and organizations
    Careful attention to detail and creative problem solving
    Effective time management skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
    Knowledge of social media marketing an asset
