This is a small team of thirteen staff members working in teams of three to four consultants on a comfortable number of clients.
Sounds good right? Yes we thought so.
This is an important role which focuses on maintaining client, media and supplier relationships in order to effectively deliver on client campaigns through day-to-day contact. At this level an account manager has an in-depth understanding of their clients\' industry knowledge (including media) and is able to use this knowledge to identify solutions and opportunities to achieve quality results. Proven competence in performing tactical tasks such as content development, motivations to media, reporting and identifying business and media opportunities is demonstrated.
Account management level requires the ability to manage upwards and downwards in relation to consultancy, media, client objectives and expectations, team, and personal development (including stress and capacity management). This would demonstrate leadership and people management skills which would be required for middle and senior management levels.
Requirements
Ideally three to five years PR experience (preferably PR agency)
Ideally one year senior account executive experience
Ideally one year people management experience
Diploma in Public Relations
Degree in Communications/Journalism
