Senior Estimator

PRIMARY ROLES and RESPONSIBLITIES:
    Responsible for the development of TIC (Total Installed Cost) estimates ranging from OOM (+/-50%) to Definitive / funding (+/-10%)
    Review drawings and specifications and proposed project site conditions; record findings and solicit input from field operations to includein final project estimate.
    Analyze alternative solutions and engineering and construction methods to increase competitiveness of the bid.
    Review "take-off" quantities to ensure accuracy of data used in estimates.
    Utilize existing cost history to complete estimate.
    Present estimate and participate in bid reviews with senior management to enusre accuracy and completeness.
    Communicate with owners, subcontractors, public and private entities to enusre competitveness.
    Communicate estimate bid information to field operations at pre-construction meetings to ensure understanding of scope of job.
    Prepare cost estimates for natural gas transmission pipeline facilities for both capacity and maintenance capital projects.
    Identify information needs for developing accurate estimates, as well as identifying any techincal issues related to project implementation.
    Monitor and improve estimating performance through incorporation of actual cost feedback into future estimates
    Develop and implement improved estimating guidelines when identified
    Maintain benchmark information for cost trending and estimate review purposes
    Must be in constant communication with vendors ans suppliers
    Interface and coordinate vendors scheduled on daily basis as determined from schedule.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
    Ten (10) years of estimating experience (Oil and Gas projects)
    Must be a current member if a recognizable professional institution
    BS in Construction Engineering / Finance or applicable experience
    Prior pipeline and Engineering take off expereince
    Proficiency with all MS Office products and estimating software is a plus
    Advanced knowledge of estimating software
    Advanced knowledge of construction principles
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
