Account Manager

We can also marry this content to Torstar media properties, reaching an active and engaged national and global audience in both print and digital. ACCOUNT MANAGER
Reporting to the Director, Business Development, you will be responsible for account management and new business sales for Star Content Studios. Your primary focus will be to manage, maintain and grow assigned accounts in an efficient and professional manner within a competitive marketplace. At the same time, you will be responsible for seeking new business development opportunities by leveraging your existing marketing/advertising professional network.
Key Responsibilities: Relationship management - building and maintaining relationships with current clients; proposal/pitch development, delivery and follow up; prospecting for new business opportunities  including providing quotes and general information
    Revenue Management – meet or exceed assigned sales targets by delivering custom content marketing programs based on clients’ needs while convincing new clients/marketers to shift dollars into content marketing
    Sales strategy - analyze market and economic trends, consumer demand, and advertiser requirements to develop custom content and content marketing opportunities in print, digital and video media to generate new potential sources of revenue
    Marketing - general marketing and championing of Star Content Studios and the benefits of content marketing
    Collaboration - collaborating with creative team and other internal/external functions to deliver customized content solutions for clients
About You: Undergraduate degree in Business Management or related field
    A minimum of 3-5 years experience - primarily in a sales/business development environment, digital marketing, advertising or digital publishing experience preferred.
    Must have experience in working with various forms of content (cross media) and creative
    Experience in generating creative and compelling RFP responses and proposals and overseeing RFP submissions
    Experience with InDesign, Photoshop and WordPress would be an asset
    Strong financial skills (i.e. costing, pricing models, business models)
    Understanding of both print and emerging digital advertising models
    Understanding of Social Media tools for networking/lead generation
    Have an established network of North American  marketing / advertising contacts
    Willing to be part of growing organization and a dynamic team that is constantly changing
