A well-known retailer selling cooking and baking goods is seeking an experienced Store Manager to join their branch in Bellville.

Requirements: Matric Certificate / Grade 12 Certificate. Must be able to communicate professionally in English and Afrikaans. Relevant tertiary qualification.  At least 3-5 years retail store management experience. Experience in tracking budget expenses, pricing, vendor relations. Stock control experience. Good retail food market knowledge. Results driven. Hospitality or retail back ground. Excellent computer skills.

Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage the store staff setting clear goals and objectives. Ensure staffing levels are adequate to effectively operate the store. Ensure service efficiencies with regular monitoring. Timely and accurate dissemination of information (analysis with the assistance of reports and recommendations). Reviewing merchandising activities, determining additional needed sales promotion, authorising clearance sales. Hitting sales targets and implementing the necessary to improve sales (up selling and cross selling).

Overseeing stock rotation. Daily stock takes and investigating variances. Set standards for health and safety. Determine system improvements. New product development. Address training needs with HR/management and schedule training sessions. Ensure that all staff is familiar with SOPS and that they receive the necessary training should there be any change.
