About the role: The Career Medical Officer is to provide medical supervision for private patients under the care of Visiting Medical Officers.

Essential Criteria: Current APHRA registration as a Medical Practitioner. Current medical indemnity insurance to treat patients in a private hospital. Current ALS 2 including cannulation, arterial and venous puncture and fluid resuscitation; Comprehensive understanding of DETECT protocol and support nursing staff in the implementation of DETECT protocol adult and neonate; Ability to identify deviations in diagnostic results and to appropriately act/manage and notify VMO accordingly; Demonstrated clinical and procedural experience adequate to undertake the roles required of a ward CMO. Surgical Assistant skills for emergency Obstetrics and other surgical emergencies

Desirable Criteria. Ability to support ICU/CCU CMO. Previous experience in similar role.
