Manager of Visitor Services. You will manage and oversee the day to day operations of a year-round Visitor Information Centre, part of Destination BC's Visitor Centre network. Moreover, you are a tireless promoter of Dawson Creek, the Peace Region and the Alaska Highway. Your ability to develop, communicate and promote exceptional visitor experiences; create and implement strategies to encourage visitors to stay longer in Dawson Creek and surrounding areas; and have those same visitors depart the area with a positive impression is paramount. You and your team of Visitor Information Counsellors will provide outstanding customer service, promoting local and regional tourism products and services. You are outgoing, highly motivated, and a detail-orientated person. Moreover, your ability to work independently and have initiative will ensure your success as the Manager of Visitor Services.

Tired of the ordinary? The Marketing and Communications Coordinator develops and implements the extraordinary! You will market Dawson Creek and the numerous events, activities and attractions in the community while working at the Encana Events Centre and Tourism Dawson Creek. Your primary goal is to increase awareness of Dawson Creek, the attractions, the many visitor amenities and revenues through tickets sales for all events while increasing the profile of the Encana Events Centre and Tourism Dawson Creek. You have a flair for creating and maintaining positive relationships with partners, community organizations and the media. You have exceptional leadership talents to maximize event and venue exposure, attendance and revenues. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Suite, social networking tools including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SEOand database marketing are essential. A bonus if you've used tracking & managing software like Hootsuite, Sprinklr or Sprout Social. You are a team player who has an enthusiastic perspective and can motivate others. You are a highly organized, fun and resourceful professional who works well under pressure. These positions are full time and come with a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidates will have the skills to work with minimal supervision, perform duties in a safe manner and consistently demonstrate efficient, effective use of time and resources.
