Position may require an instantaneous change from a stable calm environment to a highly charged or stressful atmosphere as a result of a crisis occuring within the area of service. Responsibilities of the successful applicant include effective delivery of information, support, advocacy, and links to other resources. The Coordinator is responsible for supervision of the day to day work of a part time paid staff member and the volunteer advocates. The program covers a large area and the position may require extensive travel within the region. Job description as per the Corporate Bylaws.

Qualifications: Strong managerial skills. Ability to recruit, train, and coordinate both staff and volunteers on an ongoing basis. Must hold valid driver's lincense and provide own vehicle. Must pass an Enhanced Reliability RCMP Security Clearance check. Must have the ability to work on call both evenings and weekends, as well as work flexible hours. Degree in Human Science or related discipline with a combination of related work experience will be considered an asset.
