Front of House Manager

Job Overview:
As Front of House Manager, you will be responsible for running the front of house for a large, busy, luxury Dublin city hotel. The hotel caters for a range of customers including; travelling guests, local visitors, business clientele, VIPs, wedding parties, etc.
Responsibilities include:
Managing daily operations of the Front of House
Managing and guiding a large number of Front of House staff including; door staff, reception, reservations, guest services, etc.
Ensuring staff obtain correct training, coaching and mentoring
Setting a positive example for staff members
Dealing with staff concerns
Assisting with recruitment interviews
Supporting HR in regards to disciplinary procedures
Supervising staff in the absence of Managers
Managing front office functions to ensure efficient check in and check out procedure
Ensuring outstanding customer service and improving service at every opportunity
Liaising with guests to obtain feedback on their hotel experience
Maximising guest satisfaction and financial objectives of the area
Working to targets and goals
Achieving desired results and recognising staff performance
Dealing with queries and complaints, resolving grievances
Participating in meetings
Ensuring compliance with all policies, standards and procedures
Performing front desk duties as required
Requirements:
At least 2 years’ Front Office Management or similar experience
Experience of managing a large number of staff essential
Hotel / Restaurant Management / Hospitality / Business Administration qualification would be ideal
Must have experience in a five star or four star hotel property
Experience in a busy hotel
Strong leadership and encouragement skills
Ability to build strong working relationships with both staff and clients
Creative thinker with excellent problem solving skills
Ability to negotiate
Mature, approachable individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional Customer Service skills
Passionate about providing maximum guest satisfaction
Strong organisational skills
Excellent IT and administration skills
