Quality Engineer - Components and Assemblies -Somerset West- RNet Ben Contributions, Location: Other, Cape Town, Job Type: Full-Time. Specialists in the development and manufacture of components and assemblies from advanced, light weight composite materials seeks a Quality Engineer.

Minimum Requirements and key skills: Appropriate University Degree (or equivalent). Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality assurance. Thorough knowledge of ISP 9001:2008. Design and Manufacturing background. Ability to work accurately and in accordance with provided targets and timelines.

Key responsibilities: Conduct the following tasks within an ISO9001/AS9100 Quality Management system framework: Develop, maintain and promote the contract review and quotation stage. Conduct internal audits as per audit schedule. Define quality criteria and key characteristics in conjunction with the Engineering Department and customer. Implement Quality principles and documentation in product/process design (Quality plans, CIS, FMEA, training modules, incoming inspection criteria, tools list). Work in partnership with the Quotations Team to define and formally agree contract quality requirements and deliverables. Review, verify and validate design output. Tool evaluation and implementation. Implement new quality processes timeously as per project plan. Co-ordinate first article inspections and set up reports as per customer requirements. Support quality and Production in terms of quality related issues. Provide design improvement feedback to the Engineering department. Adhere to procedures relating the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility. Maintain sound housekeeping. Assist with any other tasked that is requested by Quality Manager.
