The UTS Student Administration Unit (SAU) facilitates all aspects of the student lifecycle, from enquiry to graduation. It supports excellence in teaching, learning and research by delivering high quality, compliant and client focused administration of the University's policies and rules relating to student administration.

The Unit is currently recruiting an Officer, Examinations.  The Examinations team manages a number of competing priorities while monitoring and ensuring compliance standards are met across Examinations and Assessments. You will support stakeholders by providing advice, guidance and support to faculties on the conduct of faculty based assessments.

Main duties/responsibilities: Undertake process and support tasks and activities in relation to exams to ensure effective and efficient delivery, within timelines and regulations. Provides support to the exams team including peer training, system reporting and analysis, data uploads, and other organisational matters. Make judgements and solve problems within the bounds of published policy and identifies when problems are beyond their capacity and appropriately refers them on. Engage with stakeholders on policy, procedure and processing matters for exams.

Main skills/experience required: Excellent organisational and planning skills with a demonstrated ability to independently manage own work-load and monitor and support the work others to ensure that tasks are delivered within strict deadlines. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Strong technical skills with the ability to use a wide range of technology, trouble-shoot problems, train and support others. Demonstrable ability to interpret and adhere to relevant rules, policies and procedures, including supporting others in their application. Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, stakeholder relationship management and customer service skills. Demonstrated understanding of the importance of confidentiality and security of examination materials. Demonstrated capacity to remain flexible, calm and solve problems in a pressured environment. Previous experience in tertiary education, particularly with a background in events management is highly desirable.

Remuneration: Base Salary Range:  $68,973 to $78,906 pa (HEW 5). This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
