Market Development Manager, Location: Sandton, Johannesburg, Job Type: Full-Time. Boston Scientific is dedicated to transforming lives through innovative medical solutions that improve the health of patients around the world. Ensure effective monitoring of Marketing initiatives implementation aligning with Market Development GMM and Education Manager; execute new initiatives according to established plans.

Duties and Responsibilities: Provide Market Development GMM with relevant input/insights for the annual franchise development together with Education Manager. Work closely with EQH PMs, Education Manager and Market Development GMM to design specific initiatives. Facilitate information flows between EHQ and Country; integrate Country feedback in the Franchise AOP. Execute on strategies to accelerate clinical uptake of new clinical techniques and technologies that benefit patient care. Partner with Product Marketing colleagues to gather KOL feedback. Work in close partnership with local sales organisation (both RSM and TM). Cooperate closely with Management Teams within the area of geographical responsibility

Minimum Requirements: Degree with 4 – 6 years appropriate experience within the medical devices of pharmaceutical industry. Fluency in the English Language (oral and written). Successful market development experience with multinational companies. Prior market research or consulting experience would be an advantage. Team player, ability to foster strong relationships with International counterparts. Strong Leader, ability to facilitate with both internal and external functions.

Strong analytical skills: Good project management skills, with focus not only on planning, but monitoring, follow-up and completing projects. Ability to manage shifting priorities and make decisions about relative priorities of projects. A broad knowledge of business, scientific, economic, social and public policy trends affecting the medical device industry. Willingness to travel both locally and internationally.
