Registered General Nurse

Summary: 2 x Permanent roles based in South East Ireland. Will be providing highest levels of patient care in a residential setting. Care provided covers Long Term, Respite, Dementia and Palliative (preference can be expressed at interview)

My Client:
My client is an independent nursing home based in the South East. The facility is a converted Georgian home with 25 beds with private grounds and aims to deliver a cosy welcoming atmosphere for residents, family and friends.

The Role: 
My client is seeking to hire a minimum of two Registered General Nurses. A background, through working experience or academic, in Gerontology or Psychiatric nursing would be beneficial but not essential. All candidates must be currently registered with An Bord Altranais and be up to date on HIQA standards and accountabilities.

The ideal candidate will have:

    * A genuine love of working with the elderly and being able to make an impact to their lives
    * An upbeat and positive attitude, being able to motivate your colleagues and residents
    * An understanding the stresses our residents may be experiencing and actively work to make their stay a welcoming and happy one.
    * An excellent command of the English language is essential for this role
    * An ability to work well individually as well as part of a team, being able to support your colleagues in providing the highest standards of care.
    * Flexibility to work a full rota including day and night duty on a rotation with your colleagues.
    * An interest in further training to ensure compliance and the care of the residents always meets the HIQA standards at a minimum
