Student Adviser, Location: Other, Cape Town, Job Type: Contract Work summary: Makes personal efforts and coordinates with all necessary entities to get interested applicants (leads) through a positive experience in the most efficient way (without sacrificing quality of service), and converts as many of them possible to registered students, while assisting them to one or more of the offered degrees and certificates.

Key competencies: Persuasiveness, Computer skills, Verbal and written communication skills, Customer service orientation, Organizational skills, Attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities: Follow supervisor’s instructions. Follow the procedures and all the steps in the right order of the qualification process. Call/email applicants to assist them with the qualification process. Use and update the CRM to enter all applicant related information, book appointments, send emails with appropriate template, create yellow notes, update the bulletin board. Process documents, forms and applications. Effective time management – call all scheduled appointments, as well as contact all non contacted new leads within a maximum period of 48 hours.

Screen applicants as early as possible to screen: Prioritization of tasks. Meeting targets as given. In-depth knowledge of all degrees, diplomas and short courses offered by Unicaf and other partner universities. Promotion of degrees, courses etc at the lowest possible scholarship amount. Communication with internal departments (via phone, email and personal presence) to resolve inquiries. Professional behaviour during communication with applicants (calls, emails), as well as with internal departments. Any other tasks assigned by the Management.

Communication channels: External communication channel Effective communication (negotiation) with interested applicants with the objective to assist them towards all the stages involved in a successful application (scholarship, degree, certificate).

Internal communication channel Effective communication with team leader. Effective communication with internal departments. Payment scheme: Basic Salary. Commission on registrations. Your application can be seen as unsuccessful if no feedback is given within 2 weeks.
