Position Description: Mayo Home Nursing (Healthe Community) have been providing community and home care services to the people of the Mid North Coast of NSW since 1997. Covering an area spanning Bulahdelah in the south, Port Macquarie in the north, and Gloucester in the west, we have built a reputation for professionalism and reliability. We are currently looking to employ an enthusiastic and dedicated administration officer to join our rostering team in Taree.

The administration team provide the first point of contact that new customers and clients have with Healthe Care Community Nursing businesses. The successful applicant must ensure the highest level of customer service to referring organisations, clients and staff members. The role requires exceptional communication skills and an ability to work as part of a multi disciplinary team. This position reports to the Care Services Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: Communicating information to and from clients, staff, service providers and any other stakeholders involved/engaged in Healthe Care Community based services.

Efficient and appropriate rostering of client visits to community nursing field staff. Key to the success in this role is an ability to understand the clinical requirements, geographic boundaries and cost implications of decisions made when allocating appropriate staff to a patient roster as well as developing an intensive knowledge of the rostering software ( Comcare) 

Maintaining all electronic and paper based records as per legislative requirements 

Maintaining and developing efficient procedures relevant to their role

Essential Criteria: Ability to think laterally and develop key relationships with community / field staff to ensure that appropriate workloads and conditions for these employee’s are met. Capacity to work 38 hours per week and rotational on call after hours roster including weekends High level proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Access, Word.) Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner. Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, email, and all other correspondence. Ability to work in a challenging environment. Empathy for frail aged clients  and clients with disabilities. Demonstrated experience and involvement with complex problem solving.
