Sales Support - Electrical Engineer (Tech), Montague Gardens, Northern Suburbs. Essential requirement. Must have 2+ years Solar PV or related electrical working background with technical support background. Good knowledge of local regulations and requirements Significant knowledge of grid-tied and storage systems including lithium Ion batteries. An electrical engineering qualification is preferred but not essential.

Core Duties: Front sales office and external sales representative experience. Remote customer pre-sales product/system support with focus on grid-tied and grid back-up installations – PV System design, advice on suitable parts (requiring excellent knowledge of products sold by the company. Remote customer post-sales product/system support – Solving issues, getting systems working, diagnosis.

Supporting the sales department in particular the grid-tied storage team in terms of improving their product knowledge and answering customer queries. Completing compatibility reviews on customer orders and checking for errors. Supporting other members of the technical team. Regular upkeep of data for the reseller portal. Representing the company at public functions and training events.

Building firm relationships with our customers. Study of South African and neighbouring countries’ regulations and product suitability. Advising on new products that could be introduced to the company portfolio.
