Exp Qualified Manufacturing Cost and Management Accountant - Senior Level CA SA CIMA or similar, Milnerton, Northern Suburbs.

Experienced Qualified Cost and Management Accountant - ensure professional and ethical financial practices and cohesive finance service offering that is aligned with business strategy, so as to ensure the functionality and sustained profitability of the Company. Will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling the costing, raw material physical control and purchasing, IT and logistics activities, and will also assume a strategic role in the overall Management of the Company Qualifications & Experience.

One of Chartered Accountant CA (SA), CIMA or similar. Experience in a Manufacturing Environment. At least 5 years relevant experience, with at least 2 years at a senior level managing a team Skills and Competencies. Analytical ability. Planning and organization. Taking initiative. Duties and Responsibilities - Costing methodology and analysis. Utilising the Configurators, provide a monthly analysis of the variance between theoretical usage of raw materials in the manufacturing process compared to the actual usage;. Provide monthly analysis of labour efficiency in the manufacturing process;. Create template to reflect the monthly margins achieved per product group. Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumption/decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers. Work with Financial Manager to create and maintain the models utilized in determining price increases on products. Formulate and implement finance policies/procedures for the co with respect to costing, to ensure achievement of the company’s fin objectives, monitoring for compliance. Ensure that co costing systems are robust, compliant/support current activities and future growth. Establish/maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs seek full range of business solutions; provide executive management with advice on the fin implications of business activities, provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial/management info analyses, reports, and recommendations. Provide recommendations to improve profitability/margins. Work with the MD and Financial Manager to identify potential new business opportunities/sources of revenue. Work with the Product Development team to ensure that any changes or improvements to existing products are coasted correctly.. Work with the Product Development team to ensure accurate costing of newly developed products - Raw materials stores and Dispatch. Liaise with the Group IT Steering Committee to ensure that all initiatives driven by the committee - Purchasing of both stock and non-stock items - Department Management. Management of employees
