Technical Team Leader

Our client, a multinational Infrastructure Services company is actively recruiting for a Technical Team Lead to join their applications team.

The successful candidate will responsible for providing leadership and day to day management of application support team.

Technical Team Lead responsibilities will include:

    * Team management, monitoring performance, retention, reviews and recognition
    * Co-ordinating teams activities and workload
    * Design training, coaching schedules for each team member
    * Conduct one to one performance reviews
    * Mentoring and guidance
    * Provide support to the team in the resolution of incidents within SLA
    * Design and implement technical and operational documentation and best practice standards
    * Provide support to Service Support Manager in the management of the Service Desk team

Candidate requirements:

    * Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
    * 6+ years relevant commercial experience working in a large, fast paced IT environments
    * 3 years recent experience in managing technical specialist teams
    * Excellent people management, business analysis and project management abilities
    * ITIL Certified, alternatively, a strong understanding of ITIL processes ( incident, Change, Release Management )
    * Strong overall technical knowledge. Some of the following would be desirable: Domino Applications, CMS, Java ( Struts or Spring ), Websphere, JBoss.
    * Any relevant Project Management certification is highly desirable
    * Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    * Fluent English communicator ( verbal & written )
