Payroll Accountant, East London, Eastern Cape. PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT required for a leading Financial Organization in East London. Only applicants with a Bachelors Degree or Equivalent qualification and minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role will be considered.

Key Requirements: B Degree or Equivalent. Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office.

Duties include: Responsible for the full Payroll accounting function. Preparation of the monthly reports. Preparation of monthly income statement and balance sheet reconciliations. Preparation and monitoring of the Payroll and HR departmental budget. Preparation of audit files. Responsible for providing information and coordinating requests from External and Internal audit.

Implementation of financial internal controls in terms of the Payroll Standard Operating Procedures. Cash flow management for the HR and Payroll department including payment requests and cash flow requests for monthly salary payments. Capture and reconciliation of the Payroll cash book. Review and approval of all Salary journals prepared by the Payroll Administrators.

Preparation of Payroll related general journals. Review and sign off AOD's for staff advance and loans. Prepare monthly reports of adhoc deductions and staff loans for the Payroll Administrators. To monitor staff loan contracts for terminated staff and managed the statuses of these contracts. Preparation of ETI recons monthly, bi-annual and annual submissions to SARS.

Preparation of VIP reconciliation to AFS for the Annual Financial Company Tax submission to SARS. Preparation of SDL payment data. Prepare staffing stats as required. Assist Payroll Manager with staff turnover figures/graphs twice a year. To assist with any ad hoc projects and reconciliations as requested by the Human Capital or Payroll Manager.
