Permanent Junior Projects Engineer, Other, Northern Suburbs. An Internationally established Manufacturing Company based in the Northern Suburbs is seeking to appoint a Junior Projects Engineer! You will be working in a workshop environment and managing a small team. The below will apply to the ideal person.

Responsibilities: Planning and executing projects and building of new machines. Procurement of required stock including parts, components, consumables and spares. Coordinating tasks of artisans, service schedules and approving job cards. Schedule and facilitate staff meetings. Liaise with Research and Development, Design and Production department regarding Projects.

Requirements: Minimum of 1- 2 years of professional work experience in a similar role. Knowledge and understanding of engineering practices in a manufacturing environment. Understanding of technical designs, drawings, and materials. Knowledge of and experience with mechanical processes, lubrication, motors, bearings, shafts and belts. Electrical knowledge (PLC units, wiring, drives) will be advantageous. Strong communication skills with a hands-on approach in the workplace. Computer literate (MS Office).

Qualifications: Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate. Completed BTech or BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
