German Linguistic Tester

Under supervision of the Project Manager, the Tester ensures the quality of games tested under various aspects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Testing
 Test games indicated by the project manager under various aspects according to the testing plan; record any bugs in a database using standardized processes and file a brief report. Tests must be conducted by navigating /using the game.
 All other video game related tasks assigned by supervisors.
 The tester may be asked to conduct specialized testing.
Linguistic specialization
 Detect linguistic errors in language: grammar, spelling, punctuation etc.
 Find translation errors (vocabulary, etc.)
 Ensure that subtitles correspond with audio.
 Occasional translation
 Correct cultural errors
Desired Skills and Experience
 Excellent knowledge of German
 Solid knowledge and understanding of the cultural environment of the target market.
 Excellent knowledge of the English language (both spoken and written)
 Interest in video games
 Knowledge of translation is considered an asset
