Permanent Stores and Stock Manager – Engineering, Other, Northern Suburbs. Our client is a specialist in Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation Development with projects and offices nationwide, and they are seeking to appoint a seasoned Stores Manager for their branch in the Northern Suburbs. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in stores and stock management in a similar electrical material and equipment environment.  
Minimum requirements: Matric / Grade 12 is compulsory. Applicable Tertiary Qualification (highly advantageous). Pastel experience (not negotiable). Job-sys experience (highly advantageous). Financial background/knowledge (highly advantageous). Solid experience and proven employment track record (not negotiable). Electrical material and equipment knowledge (highly advantageous).
Key Performance Areas: Personnel Management and Development. Plan and execute quarterly, annual, and interim stock takes. Maintain storeroom integrity. Oversee Pool vehicle management and allocations, including vehicle tracking. Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice store strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve store services.
Other responsibilities will include, but not limited to; Be responsible for the management of all staff within your hierarchy. This includes staff performance, development, annual appraisals, and attendance. Variance tracking and reporting (stock variances).
Stock reconciliations. Stock controlling. Oversee stock order process (identify available stock in store before ordering). Ensure stock levels are maintained through inventory systems. Oversee courier function. Oversee receiving and delivery (checks should be done timeously and accurately). Planning – peak season. Oversee rigging and derigging services (support to Procurement). Housekeeping.
Manage a safe working environment for staff and visitors. Ensure Health and Safety legislation is followed ensuring risk assessments are completed in a timely manner and any faults reported promptly.
