Production Supervisor – automotive, Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. Job Position: Production Supervisor – automotive. Location: Port Elizabeth. Salary: R15 000 per month CTC commensurate with experience. 6 month fixed term contract

Qualifications / Requirements: Proven experience as a Production Supervisor (advantage will be given to individuals who have worked in an automotive/related environment).

Key Performance Areas: Supervise production staff in terms of normal working hours, overtime and attendance. Provide induction training. Conduct regular toolbox talks to ensure staff are up to date with any changes or areas that need attention. Create the manufacturing orders in the ERP programme based on the production schedule from the Factory Manager. Create and issue production lists based on the production schedule. Constant checking of production rate during the day and report any deviation to Factory Manager. Ensure start-up of procedure compliance.

Record all stations daily production totals, report deviations and non-compliance to the Factory Manager. Initial inspection of raw material irregularities found on the production line. Oversee production quality throughout the production process. Ensure health and safety compliance on the factory floor as per the OHSA and ISO standards. Report maintenance and repair requirements of all plant and equipment.

Facilitate the implementation of any new process / changes on the factory floor. Ensure quality control by assessing supplier products quality deviations and returned warranty items production quality deviations as well as manage all waste.
