Job Description
NeighborWorks Great Falls, a non—profit housing and development organization, seeks Director of Rental Development to lead the organization in improving the quality of rentals in the Great Falls area. The ideal candidate would be knowledgeable of project finance and development and passionate about affordable housing and strong neighborhoods. BA/BS or equivalent plus five years experience. Accounting and real estate experience helpful. Background in community development, housing subsidies and compliance a plus. Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications, salary range $45,000 to $65,000.
Minimum Requirements: Requires BA or BS in business, finance or related field or comparable experience, plus 5 years of related experience. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in real estate development and management, partnership development, fundraising, compliance and program development. Ability to work in a small team environment with excellent oral and written communications. Helpful to have experience with Low Income Housing Tax Credit, affordable housing subsidies and real estate. Driver’s license and ability to travel required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop rental strategy with the overall purpose of improving neighborhoods, providing an income stream and creating more affordable, quality rentals.
Analyze financial and neighborhood implications of potential partnership, developments, purchases and renovations.
Provide guidance and assistance for resource development opportunities, including grant writing.
Meet compliance and reporting requirements of funding organizations.
Implement plans for carrying out organizational mission and vision.
Create and maintains good working relationships with all stakeholders.
Oversee preparation and management of capital and operating budgets.
Secure funding commitments from Low Income Tax Credits, HOME and other funding sources. Participate in planning, training and board meetings as requested.
