A Domestic Assistant, Housekeeper needed. Parow, Northern Suburbs. I need of full-time live-in Housekeeper/Domestic Assistant who can assist with minor tasks at my office.

I am an incomplete paraplegic and use a wheelchair (but can walk short distances). I need minimal assistance with dressing  (e.g. putting on socks) but not with showering, etc.

This is a live-In position with a room in the house. Unfortunately, no dependents (partner or children) are allowed, but an overnight guest (of any gender) is welcome. I stay alone. This needs to be a strongish person to help me, should I fall. You need to be comfortable doing various tasks, working indoors and outdoors.

Duties include: Cooking/Food Preparation, Driving (Driver’s license required), Gardening, General house cleaning, Laundry and ironing, Preparing shopping lists and doing the shopping. House maintenance (plumbing and electrical experience an advantage, but not important). Maintaining the koi pond (This I will teach the successful candidate). Also responsible for general maintenance at the office. (Can be considered for more advanced tasks at the office if you are willing).

Character traits: Honest and Reliable. Punctual and Modest. Shows initiative, but is also willing to learn new tasks. Neat Able to speak and understand English (does not need to be 100% fluent).

Remuneration: R 5600 (depending on experience). This is a full-time fixed-term contract for 3 months, which might be extended after assessing your performance. You will be able to save most of your salary. Accommodation, meals, uncapped WiFi, etc are all included.
