Prosthetic Technician
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: $23.50 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Location: Windsor, Ontario (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of university
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Specific Prosthetists and Orthotists Skills: Art work, including hand painting and sculpting, Design, build, fit and repair prosthetic and orthotic appliances, Examine and measure patients to develop working sketches of appliances, Advise patients in the use and care of prostheses and orthoses, Surface finishing, mould making and polymerization techniques, Make and modify plaster casts
Specific Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician Skills: Repair, build and modify prosthetic or orthotic appliances or footwear, Assemble or build prosthetic and orthotic appliances according to drawings, measurements and plaster casts, Take body or limb measurements of patients
Additional Skills: Supervise and direct activities of other medical technologists or technicians
