Together with our client, an electronic manufacturing company in Pretoria East we are recruiting for a Senior Electronic Technician. The Ideal Candidate needs to have 3+ years of experience in a similar position and must hold a B-Tech Electronic Engineering/B-Eng Electronic Engineering qualification.

Duties and Responsibilities: To design all electronic board products to meet the form, fit and function while maintaining manufacturability and minimizing costs. Design responsibilities include the writing of specifications, analog & digital design, PCB routing, packaging design, debugging, providing cost and time estimates, a compilation of engineering documentation, and compilation of test & acceptance procedures.

Support responsibilities include production support, continual product improvement, managing component obsolescence, interpreting client briefs, developing testing systems, writing up improvement plans, transferring knowledge to technicians, establishing supplier and vendor networks, and a compilation of ISO9001 procedures & functions.

Responsible for all PCB-related engineering queries, supplier relationships, Due dates, Stencil design, and providing technical feedback to management and clients. Skills and Competencies. Excellent Hardware development skills. Embedded firmware and Software skills. Applicable product design and calculations (example: Cost Analysis, Block Diagrams, Functional Diagrams, etc).

Report Writing Skills, Communication Skills, Management/Supervisory Skills, Presentation Skills, Technical product knowledge, Required Minimum Qualifications and experience , Matric or equivalent. B-Tech Electronic Engineering or B-Eng Electronic Engineering qualification, 3+ years experience in a similar position.

Salary: R 25 000.00 – R 37 500.00 CTC per month. Benefits: Medical Aid, Provident, and Pension Fund.
