Speech Pathologist (Paediatric), The Child Development Hub. North Lakes, Brisbane QLD. Speech Therapy (Healthcare and Medical). Part time. $80,000 - $109,999. The Child Development Hub is a child-friendly, family-focused multi-disciplinary allied health team who strive to provide children with every opportunity to succeed in life.

The Child Development Hub is committed to providing a fun, flexible and supportive environment for both our team and the families we service. Ideally located in the heart of North Lakes, we are within walking distance of the lake, local cafes and Westfield Shopping Precinct and conveniently located close to medical centres, health facilities, schools and daycares. We are seeking an innovative and dedicated Speech Pathologist with a passion for working with children.

Responsibilities and Duties: Assess infants and children with a range of presentations, using a variety of diagnostic tools including standardised assessments. Identify each child’s strengths and challenges within the context of the family, and provide goal-oriented, targeted intervention to support their individual needs. Manage a paediatric caseload [birth – 18-years] and ensure all documentation including client record keeping and report writing is accurate, concise and completed in a timely manner in accordance with professional health practitioner standards. Provide assistive technology assessments and prescriptions as required.

Provide routine speech pathology clinical practice in line with the Speech Pathology Australia Code of Ethics and in accordance with contemporary evidence based practice principles. Actively participate in collaborative partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders to improve developmental outcomes for clients. Qualifications and Skills.

The successful candidate will have: A tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Speech Pathology as recognised by Speech Pathology Australia. Current Speech Pathology Australia registration. A current Blue Card (Queensland’s Working With Children Check). Demonstrated experience working with children and their families. An understanding of goal-oriented, family-centred and evidence-informed practices. High level of oral and written communication skills and commitment to working within a team. A passion for working with children and their families, demonstrating a calm, positive, and empathic approach at all times. A creative, fun and positive attitude. Perks, Above-Award Salary.
