St John of God Social Outreach South West Community Alcohol and Drug Service (SWCADS) offers easily accessible counselling and support for people with drug and alcohol issues and their families free of charge. We provide consultation, shared case management, education, strategic support and training for Western Australia's South West communities.

Your role at St John of God: A rare opportunity is available for an experienced and qualified community services professional to commence in the position of Manager South West Community Alcohol and Drug Service (SWCADS). As the Manager SWCADS, you will support and maintain a framework for activity within Social Outreach services, which will include strategic development, service planning and delivery of South West Alcohol and Drug Services (SWCADS). Primary responsibilities of the role are to manage the services and activities of the South West Alcohol Drug Service including the ongoing development and monitoring of services delivered in accordance with contract specifications.

The Position: Manages the SWCADS Service and ensures compliance with safe, quality, activity, human resource and financial key performance indicators. Increases the level of cooperation and partnerships with other services and agencies, including local government, and other key stakeholder groups to support an individualized approach to working with those who have drug use, substance misuse and mental health related problems. Supports community initiatives that address alcohol and other drug problems.

Supports and maintains a framework for the identification, selection and prioritisation, implementation and evaluation of SWCADS activities. Provides operational input into the development of the Social Outreach Strategic Plan to the Director. You will have demonstrated experience in working with communities to develop social capital, lead strategic service planning and to manage the establishment and implementation of services.

Successful applicants will hold a Tertiary qualification relevant to the position, such as Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Nursing with AOD speciality. Above all, patient care will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values.
