In the role of Senior Engineer some of your responsibilities will include: Coordinate, project manage and provide technical expertise in multi-disciplinary project teams relating ITS and electrical projects to ensure successful delivery of projects to achieve agreed deliverables, timeframes and stakeholder expectations. Contribute to and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements necessary to standardise the implementation of electrical, electronic, communications and Information Technology systems used in the deployment of ITS and Electrical Infrastructure. Undertake research in ITS and share this information to traffic management teams, stakeholders and transport related forums.

Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to intelligent transport and electrical infrastructure delivery activities. Develop and apply technical and administrative solutions to intelligent transport systems enhancement, extensions and operations.

To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following: Significant experience in ITS systems for traffic control. Project and contract management skills to support and deliver ITS projects through the concept, design, implementation and finalisation phases. Strong analytical and technical skills to foster continuous improvement in the efficiency of systems and technologies. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to articulate complex problems and solutions to a variety of audiences with the goal to gain commitment from key stakeholders to support ideas or take action. Proactively build long-term working relationships with internal and external partners.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions: A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent Electrical Engineering, Information, Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering qualification which is accepted by Engineers Australia. Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ). Possession of an open Class C driver licence is necessary to carry out site inspections and conduct field audits. Intrastate and interstate travel required.
