Senior Software Developer, Camera Tools
Point Grey Research Inc. is looking for a talented and motivated Senior Software Developer to join the Camera Tools Development Team. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining the automated camera testing infrastructure that enables Point Grey to prototype, manufacture, and ship high quality cameras. This infrastructure includes computer vision, robot control, parallel computing and large volumes of data.
The successful candidate will be tasked with finding innovative solutions to practical problems. Whether that involves working with the latest cameras, development or extending tools, improving processes, or mentoring junior team members, the days will be full of opportunities to learn new things, spread knowledge, and apply your software development skills to make a positive difference for others at Point Grey and, ultimately, our customers.
Skills and Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent
• 7+ years of recent software development experience
• 5+ years of experience in C#/.NET
• Experience with MSSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases
• Experience with standard software engineering tools and practices (unit testing, revision control, etc.)
• Ability to logically and analytically troubleshoot software to determine the root cause of issues
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other groups
• A positive attitude and a keen attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and drive tasks forward with minimal direction
Preferred
• Understanding of imaging technology and computer vision concepts
• Experience working with prototype hardware/devices
• Experience supporting a manufacturing environment
• Experience with WPF, LINQ, and multi-threading
• Experience with MongoDB
• Experience with web development

• Salary commensurate with successful candidate’s experience
