Job Description: As the most senior position within the sales division, the Regional Sales Manager / Country Manager will provide leadership and strategic direction, influencing peers, sector board members, and executives to promote inward investments in new products, processes, and assets. You will be responsible for driving the sales strategy, managing the sales team, and achieving sales targets throughout Australia.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business goals and objectives across Australia. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding our customer base and market share across the country. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, distributors, and regulatory bodies. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt strategies accordingly.
Be accountable for all operational aspects of the office, including customer service, stock management, purchasing policy, finance, administration, fiscal matters, warehousing, and local transportation. Ensure the achievement of business objectives and KPIs set by the sector board. Monitor developments and best practices in the external environment to implement improvements in business operations. Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to senior management. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, or a related field. Minimum of 8-15 years of sales management experience in the pharmaceutical and/or life sciences industry. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving business growth. Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing high-performing sales teams. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical and life sciences market, including industry trends and regulatory environment. Ability to travel across Australia & international as required.
