Responsibilities: Design and develop power equipment and systems. Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation. Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements. Service equipment. Test power equipment and systems. Assist in design, development and testing. Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports. Write specifications. Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments. Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications. Collect and compile operational or experimental data. Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems. Credentials. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses. Certified Engineering Technologist (CET). Experience and specialization. Computer and technology knowledge. Computer-aided design (CAD). AutoCAD.
