Responsibilities: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables. Set up and adjust production machines and tools. Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance. Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools. Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Experience and specialization. Equipment and machinery experience. Milling machines. Sawing machine. Tapping machines. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Computer-aided design (CAD).
