Overview: The Women’s and Children’s Health Network provides state-of-the-art health care for women, babies, children, and young people across South Australia. We are the state’s leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions, as well as being South Australia’s largest maternity and obstetric service and statewide Maternal Fetal Medicine service.

Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children, and young people, their families, and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our mental health, child and family health services, youth health, and Aboriginal health services.

The Division of Surgical Services coordinates and manages support for the surgical departments and units of the WCH. The hospital is the main referral centre for complex paediatric surgical conditions for South Australia, the Northern Territory, and some regional centres in Eastern Victoria and Eastern New South Wales and supports a clinical and basic science research and teaching program.

The Anaesthesia and Recovery nursing staff provide expert nursing care before, during, and after surgery and anesthesia for women and children at the WCH.

Join our team and contribute to providing South Australia’s women, babies, children, and young people with the best health care, either within our hospital or via our many and varied community services and programs.
