Townsville Hospital and Health Service is the public healthcare provider for the government areas of Townsville, Burdekin, Charters Towers, Flinders, Richmond, Hinchinbrook, and Palm Island. The Workforce Wellbeing Psychologist will draw upon psychology skills, mental health expertise, and knowledge of organisational operations and functions to provide direct and indirect, responsive, and preventative wellbeing support to the staff of Townsville Hospital and Health Service. This role will assist in the development and evaluation of health promotion and prevention strategies while facilitating in-services and workshops.

About the opportunity: Position: Psychologist, Senior (Workforce Wellbeing). Vacancy: Permanent full-time, 76 hours per fortnight. Location: Health, Safety, and Wellbeing, Townsville. What's on offer?
Remuneration package of up to $157,360 p.a. Salary range: $128,169 to $137,918 p.a. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (HP4). 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%–17.5% loading and 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
About the role: Provide evidence-based psychological services to staff in either a group or 1:1 format to identify psychosocial needs and protective factors to inform interventions and individual management strategies. Utilise psychological skills in assessment, formulation, intervention planning, implementation, and evaluation of team-level and organisation-wide staff psychological supports.
Contribute to the advancement of quality psychological services, including identification and management of risk factors, in order to improve staff wellbeing.
Role requirements: Applicants must possess general registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Highly regarded. Current enrolment in, or completion of an accredited masters or doctoral qualification in clinical psychology. Current enrolment, or completion of an accredited PsyBA supervision course, or eligibility to obtain supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Postgraduate training and/or previous experience in staff wellbeing and/or trauma-informed service delivery. Please refer to the role description for further details.
