About Us: Spiced Roots is excited to introduce a famous and highly anticipated Indian restaurant chain to Western Sydney! We're looking for a talented and dedicated cook to join our team and help us create delicious and authentic Indian dishes. This is a great chance to be part of an exciting new venture and a major international brand's Australian launch. Anticipated opening in 2025.

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled cook to prepare, season, and cook food in our new restaurant. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals that meet our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities: Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality. Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment. Preparing and cooking food. Seasoning food during cooking. Portioning food, plating, and adding garnishes. Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities. Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.

Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a cook (minimum 3 years preferred). Formal qualifications in culinary arts (AQF Certificate III or IV, or equivalent) are desirable. Relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications. Knowledge of Indian cuisine is essential. Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards of hygiene. Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum (depending on experience).
