Your next career opportunity
As the Development Manager (Foundation Relations) for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences, you'll play a pivotal role in securing major philanthropic gifts from trusts and foundations. You'll have the opportunity to develop and implement growth strategies, cultivate key relationships, and directly impact the advancement of medical research. Your expertise will be crucial in matching funder ambitions with the university's innovative projects, securing gifts ranging from $50,000 to $1,000,000 and, at times, beyond.
Your responsibilities will include
Develop and Implement Fundraising Strategies: Create plans to grow philanthropic revenue from trusts and foundations for MDHS priorities.
Cultivate Key Relationships: Establish and manage relationships with trusts, foundations, and internal stakeholders to maximize funding opportunities.
Craft Compelling Proposals: Lead the production of high-quality, personalized funding applications, leveraging academic expertise.
Provide Strategic Advice: Offer specialized guidance on approaches to trusts and foundations to development staff and advancement leadership.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a strategic thinker with exceptional interpersonal skills, able to cultivate relationships with diverse stakeholders and translate complex research into compelling funding proposals, all while demonstrating a deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape in the medical and health sciences sector.
You may also:
Have demonstrated experience in acquiring and managing grants from trusts and foundations.
Exhibit outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate a collaborative work style and ability to develop effective internal relationships.
Have knowledge of the domestic and international trusts and foundation sector.
Show an ability to understand university priorities and foundation staff demands.
