The manager, community road safety, provides a great opportunity to manage a team making a positive difference for Queenslanders in the delivery of high-visibility, high-profile statewide programs and campaigns to promote safer road user behavior.

Some of your responsibilities will include

• Supporting the Director, Community Road Safety, in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the StreetSmarts program to align with the priorities of the Queensland Road Safety Strategy and associated Road Safety Action Plans.

• Coordinating the development, implementation, and evaluation of education, marketing communication, and community engagement programs to improve public and stakeholder awareness of road safety policy, legislation, and behavior change campaigns.

• Providing conceptual and strategic advice on marketing and communication issues and opportunities to promote new initiatives and programs and maintain awareness of existing programs.

• Providing specialist advice and solutions to leadership on complex matters relating to projects or sensitive issues.

• Managing and leveraging relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, sponsored organizations, other government agencies, and partners to achieve business objectives.

• Managing team resources and workflow, in a dynamic and evolving environment, to ensure that outcomes, project deliverables, and deadlines are met.

• Actively managing staff development and performance, in collaboration with team leaders, to build a high-performing and capable team.
