About the role
We are looking for an experienced Workers Compensation/ACC and WHS Manager to manage our workers compensation claims, return-to-work programs, and WHS Management System across the entities in Australia and New Zealand.
This is your chance to make a real difference by supporting the health and well-being of our people through exceptional injury management, implementation of WHS initiatives, and excellent collaboration with managers.
Responsibilities.
Manage end-to-end workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
Manage relationships with return-to-work providers, supporting managers and our employees with return-to-work plans.
Ensure compliance with all relevant workers' compensation legislation across Australia and New Zealand.
Educate and support leaders on best practice injury prevention and return-to-work processes.
Develop, implement, and maintain WHS policies and procedures.
Lead the WHS Management System, conducting quarterly WHS consultation meetings across Australia and New Zealand and implementing actions and initiatives to continue to build on compliance requirements.
Provide safety training and induction programs for employees and contractors.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure adherence to legal requirements.
Assist managers with site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Monitor injury data and trends, driving continuous improvement in workplace safety.
About You To thrive in this role, you will be a confident and compassionate professional who combines deep technical knowledge with a people-first mindset. You will bring:
5+ years' experience in workers' compensation and injury management.
Strong working knowledge of Australian workers' compensation and NZ ACC legislation.
Experience implementing return-to-work programs collaboratively with managers.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
Relevant qualifications in WHS, rehabilitation, or a related field.
Ability to lead and work independently to drive workers' compensation/ACC and health and safety initiatives across the business.
A proactive, collaborative approach and a passion for helping people get the support they need.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to different sites (occasional interstate travel).
