Responsibilities
As an Administration Officer (AO3 – Medical Typing), you will:
Perform accurate and timely medical typing of patient reports and specialist correspondence
Provide administrative support including data entry, appointment scheduling, record keeping, and reception duties
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, telephone calls, and general enquiries
Maintain both physical and electronic filing systems in line with records management policies
Assist in the preparation of agendas, meeting minutes, and departmental documents
Coordinate basic office functions including supply ordering, equipment checks, and document management
Work collaboratively with staff specialists, scientists, and administrative colleagues
Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely, confidential, and patient-focused manner
Participate in onboarding and training processes, with initial focus on typing, followed by support in other areas such as data entry and front desk
Your Profile
We’re looking for a professional who brings the following:
Prior experience in medical administration, with a strong emphasis on medical typing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with medical or clinical systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workloads with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and liaise confidently with clinical staff
Knowledge of medical terminology and record-handling procedures
Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and delivering high-quality patient-focused support
