About the Opportunity:

This is a rare chance to step into a permanent role working directly with Rio Tinto. As an auto electrician, you'll play a hands-on role in maintaining a high-performing mobile fleet across a leading mining operation.

Roster: 8/6–7/7 FIFO from Perth (residential options may also be available)

Full-time permanent position

Site: Rio Tinto operations in the Pilbara

Position Overview:

As an auto electrician, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a fleet of Rio Tinto spec mobile mining equipment. Your key duties will include

Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults

Installing and maintaining electrical accessories and systems

Troubleshooting electronic fuel injection, ignition, and transmission issues

Performing breakdown repairs, servicing, and component changeouts

What We're Looking For:

Australian-recognised Auto Electrical trade qualification

Minimum 2 years’ post-trade experience in mining

Strong background with surface mobile equipment (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi)

Current A/C and Refrigeration Licence

Manual C Class Driver’s Licence

Able to pass a full pre-employment medical

Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (mandatory)
