Western Wave Marine is a fast-growing luxury marine services business that is seeking a highly skilled and professional master to join our team. We are offering a unique full-time opportunity based out of Fremantle, commanding a luxury vessel under our management for both Australian coastal and international charters.

We are looking for a dedicated leader with a strong commitment to safety, outstanding vessel handling skills, and a passion for providing unparalleled service. The successful candidate must have previous experience in the top-end charter market.

About the Role

As the vessel master, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel and other vessels under our management on a variety of cruises in Australian and international waters. Your primary duties will include

Commanding a 35m luxury charter vessel for Australian and international voyages, ensuring compliance with all maritime regulations.

Orchestrating and enforcing safety and operational protocols to the highest standards.

Leading and managing crew, fostering a cohesive and professional onboard environment.

Ensuring the highest level of guest service and satisfaction during all charters.

Overseeing the management of the PMS and SMS, reporting any issues promptly.

Maintaining accurate logs and reports as required by company and regulatory standards.

Collaborating effectively with management to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

What you will need

We are looking for a motivated and experienced maritime professional who possesses

Current Master <45 (Master 4) certification with proven command experience.

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.

Exceptional vessel handling skills, including close-quarters maneuvering.

A meticulous approach to safety and adherence to maritime regulations.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with crew, clients, and management.

A strong work ethic, reliability, and accountability.

Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to perform autonomously.

A commitment to providing a professional and memorable experience for all onboard.

Marine Engine Driver II (MED2) is highly desirable.

What we offer

Collaborative crew, consisting of 2 other experienced full-time Staff based out of Fremantle, including a Marine engineer and a coxswain to assist with maintaining the vessel all year round

Additional Seasonal Crew to be provided seasonally for voyages

DPA will be provided for all onshore support

A support team with experience operating and running the vessel to provide training and support.
