Freedive Tasmania is one of Australia's most iconic and fast-growing freediving schools, offering world-class freediving, spearfishing, mermaiding, and retreats. With no direct competition and a growing community of ocean lovers, we’re looking to expand our instructor team as we continue to grow!

About the Role

We’re seeking an enthusiastic, safety-focused, and ocean-passionate freedive instructor to join our seasonal or year-round team. You’ll teach freediving courses around the state in some of the most pristine waters in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Freediving courses

Guide and mentor students in safe, progressive underwater training

Instruct retreats, workshops, and community events

Represent Freedive Tasmania with professionalism and energy

Assist with gear setup, briefings, customer interaction, and ocean logistics

About You

Certified PADI, Molchanov, AIDA, SSI, or equivalent Freediver Instructor

Current First Aid + CPR certification (O? Admin preferred)

Professional liability insurance (or willing to obtain)

Confident teaching, briefing, and handling students of mixed abilities

Bonus: experience with spearfishing or eco-tours
